New to the Firm
The firm makes available a wide array of benefits. Some are provided by the firm at no cost to you, others are subsidized by the firm and others are completely voluntary. You have 30 days from your date of hire to enroll.
Enrolling earlier in the month will not only reduce the number of retroactive premiums deducted from your pay, but it may make it easier to get your ID cards in hand by the time your insurance becomes effective. Your opportunity to enroll in most benefits ends 30 days from your date of hire. Your next available opportunity will be during open enrollment, unless you experience a qualifying event and contact Benefits-Firmwide within 30 days of the qualifying event.
Orientation
Watch the Benefits Orientation or join a live orientation. Live orientations offer you the opportunity to ask questions “in the moment”. Live orientations take place on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month at 11am PT/1pm CT/2pm ET. See Zoom details below:

Getting Started
Log into Workday
Click on the envelope icon located in the top right-hand corner of the landing page.
Once you are on the Inbox page click on the “Change Benefits for Life Event” message.
Please be sure to review each benefit tile. Although some plans do not require an election, they may have beneficiary designations that need to be updated.
Print your Benefit Elections Confirmation when your benefit enrollment has been finalized.
Spouse, Domestic Partner or Children
If you plan on enrolling your spouse, domestic partner, or children, please send copies of your marriage certificate, proof of partnership, and/or the child(ren)’s birth certificates to Benefits-Firmwide within 30 days from your date of hire.
San Francisco
If you are an employee in the San Francisco office, you are required to provide proof of medical coverage under another plan per the San Francisco Health Care Security Ordinance. Please send the required documentation to Benefits-Firmwide within your designated benefit enrollment period.
Commuter
Paul Hastings has a single, integrated transit vendor that covers all of our U.S. Offices. You can access their online system to choose your transit pass, debit card, and/or commuter parking provider. They will mail the pass and/or debit card to your home or office (as you designate) and will communicate with the firm to set up monthly deductions from your paycheck. All or a portion of the transit costs will come from pre-tax wages.
A separate welcome email will be sent from OneAmerica within 10 business days regarding your retirement account.
